Fixed the issue where the IP address could not be updated after the time was obtained by NTP if a DHCP client was used for the Internet connection. 2. Fixed the issue where the DHCP server stopped working when the AirStation receives an illegal DHCP request from the LAN side. 3. Fixed the issue where if the AirStation was in wireless bridge mode and connected to an access point but did not communicate with it for a given time, the connection was lost. 4. Fixed the issue where some specific websites (such as "www.apple.com") did not display correctly when the AirStation received a DNS response larger than 512 bytes from the Internet side. 5. Fixed the issue where the high-speed communication became likely to disconnect in a crowded environment when the AirStation is in wireless bridge mode. 6. Fixed the issue where if the "Click here for FAQ" link on the "Web Filtering" page was clicked, nothing is displayed. 7. Fixed the issue where the wireless connection with an iOS 8 device was sometimes not established correctly when "Guest User Authentication" on the "Guest Accounts" page was enabled. 8. Fixed the issue where the IP address sometimes could not be configured to the LAN-side network devices when the PPTP server was enabled. 9. Fixed the issue where an illegal value could be configured to the DHCP lease information when the DHCP server was disabled. 10. Fixed some text errors in Settings. [Added Features] 1. Added the option to improve connectability with some wired devices. Navigate to 'Advanced Settings' - 'LAN' - 'LAN' and switch the network type. Select "For home" for normal operation. If there are connection issues with multi-function printers or any corporate devices, select "For office". 2. Changed the behavior of "Network Devices" to not be displayed when the AirStation is in access point or wireless bridge mode. 3. Port scanning can now be disabled by unchecking "Permit port scanning" on the "System" page. When disabled, device names will not be obtained and will be displayed as "Unknown" on the "Network Devices" page. 4. Disabled SSL version 3.0 because a vulnerability was found (CVE-2014-3566). This change will disable the following functionalities for devices* that support only SSL version 3.0: - Guest accounts (only when guest user authentication is enabled) - WebAccess (only when HTTPS/SSL encryption is enabled) * Applicable devices (investigated in Dec 2014 by Buffalo Inc.) - PSP1000-3000** To confirm the update for TLS 1.0 or later, ask the manufacturer. ** "PSP" is a registered trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Version 2.24 [Bug Fixes] 1. Fixed the issue with the Internet connection being limited to under 5 Mbps when QoS was enabled. [Improvements] 1. QoS now supports Xbox One. -You can configure the Xbox One priority as "Gaming". Refer to the WZR-1750DHP/WZR-1166DHP user manual (Access "http://d.buffalo.jp/WZR-1750DHP/" and select your region) for the specific QoS configuration. * Xbox One is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries. Version 2.22 [New Features] 1. Added BeamformingEX functionality. This detects the location of wireless clients connected to the AirStation and automatically adjusts the radio strength. Keep enabled for normal use. 2. Added "No-IP" as a dynamic DNS service provider. You can access the No-IP DDNS service (http://www.noip.com/) and create your account; register the hostname to access the AirStation's LAN-side network from the outside (Internet-side). Navigate to 'Advanced Settings' - 'Internet' - 'DDNS' and select "No-IP" from 'Dynamic DNS Service', then enter your email address, password, and hostname to use the No-IP DDNS service from the AirStation. This is available only when the AirStation is in router mode. 3. Now compatible with "NAT-Loopback" functionality. This enables you to use the same WAN-side IP address to communicate with the LAN and WAN for the rules registered in 'Advanced Settings' - 'Security' - 'Port Forwarding'. This is available only when the AirStation is in router mode. [Improvements] 1. Removed "WPA-PSK AES" as an available encryption method. If using "WPA-PSK AES" as the encryption method, it will become "WPA/WPA2-mixed mode TKIP/AES mixed mode" after this firmware update is applied to the AirStation. Some devices may not be able to connect to the AirStation after this update. If it occurs, use WPS (PBC) or search for the AirStation's SSID to connect to it. Refer to the quick setup guide for more information on connecting devices. 2. "802.11n Protection" is now enabled by default. This prevents a decrease in performance for 802.11n/802.11ac when both 802.11n and 802.11ac are both used on the network. However, it may decrease 802.11a/802.11g/802.11b performance. 3. Added "Frame Burst" setting to the wireless configuration settings (2.4GHz). If disabled, the wireless performance may decrease. Keep enabled for normal use. 4. Added "Automatically select 20 or 40 MHz" option to high-speed mode setting for wireless configuration (2.4GHz). If selected, high-speed mode will generally operate on "40 MHz". If a 2.4 GHz wireless master device is detected, it will switch to "20 MHz" automatically. 5. "Limit network scanning" can now be configured when the AirStation is in bridge mode. Enable this to avoid warning messages from certain security software. 6. Added "Edit AOSS client information" to 'Advanced Settings' - 'Wireless' - 'AOSS' page. You can edit or delete registered AOSS wireless clients from this page. 7. Changed the working specification of "Use SSID and security settings from master" when "manual" is selected on the 'Advanced Settings' - 'Wireless' - 'Wireless Bridge' page as below: -Previous Used the same wireless settings (SSID/authentication/encryption) as the wireless master for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidths. -Now Uses the same wireless settings (SSID/authentication/encryption) as the wireless master only for the bandwidth connected to the wireless master. The other bandwidth will use the AirStation's wireless settings. [Bug Fixes] 1. Fixed the issue with the SSID not displaying correctly in AirStation configuration tool when the AirStation is in wireless bridge mode and "Use SSID and security settings from master" is configured. 2. Fixed the issue with PPPoE passthrough via wireless bridge being not available when the wireless bridge is connected to the AirStation. Version 2.13 [Bug Fixes] 1. YouTube videos are now correctly categorized as "Video" by QoS. 2. Fixed the issue with AOSS not being able to connect using WEP when "Allow WEP for Game Consoles Only" is enabled. 3. The login page for Settings is now displayed correctly even if wireless bridging is configured. 4. Fixed the incorrect wireless channel information displayed in 'System' - 'Wireless Bridge' when the AirStation is in wireless bridge mode. 5. Fixed the issue with MAC access control status being displayed incorrectly when wireless authentication is not configured. 6. Fixed the issue with PPTP passthrough settings in 'VPN Passthrough' not being applied correctly. 7. Fixed the issue with sleep mode not working with XFS-formatted USB hard drives. 8. Fixed the issue with some icons on the upper side not working while the 'Network Devices' screen is displayed. 9. Improved stability of wireless bridge mode. 10. Fixed the issue with the AirStation sometimes incorrectly rebooting while BitTorrent is running. 11. Improved stability of wireless communication in eco Mode. 12. Improved transmision rates for long-range wireless communication. Version 2.11 Original release
