[Software Description]
This software will update the LS400 series LinkStations’ firmware to version 1.87. If your unit’s firmware is already version 1.87 or later, you don’t need this update.

[How to Verify the Firmware Version]
Select your LinkStation from NAS Navigator2. The firmware version is displayed on the bottom right corner of the window.
If the hostname contains “EM”, the LinkStation is in emergency mode. In such a case, try updating the firmware to recover it.

[Notes]
• Please consult technical support or your local customer service representative if the firmware update causes unexpected issues.
• Do not turn off the LinkStation until the firmware update is completed and the “Finished” message appears.
• Newer LinkStation firmwares may cause the “unknown error” message to appear in NAS Navigator2. If this message appears, update NAS Navigator2 to the latest version.

[How to Update the Firmware]
1. Extract the downloaded installer file.
2. Execute “update”, then refer to the on-screen instructions.
