If Web Access Feature does not work properly, please refer to the followings.

Cannot upload a file

To upload files using Web Access Feature, you must login as a local user registered to LinkStation on the Web Access Screen.

* You cannot login with “admin” or “guest” which are default LinkStation ID's.
To log onto this model to upload files, enter “admin” in the user name field and the password you have set in the LinkStation.

* If you have set the shared folder’s web access restrictions as [Use Inherited Folder Permissions], you cannot upload files if you login as a user who has been set as a Read only user.

To login from Web Access Screen.

1. In Web access screen, click [Login] on the upper left corner.
2. When the Login screen opens, enter the user name and password, and click [OK].
3. The text on the upper left corner will change from [Login] to [User]: (user name).

* To upload files, click [Upload] on the lower-left corner in the Web access screen.

Can display the web access screen from the local network, but cannot access from the internet

You may be able to access to this service by degrading your browser’s security.

* Please consult your browser’s developer or vender for the security settings.

Open port setting for a router or modem may be wrong.
Please verify if the port number you are going to use and the one that has set in Web Configuration screen are the same. Also, check if the LinkStation’s IP address is set as a port to be used.

You may have to change the settings other than the open port setting in order to access via the Internet depending on modem or router’s specifications and your provider.
Please consult your provider or the manufacturer of your modem or router whether you need to configure to open a port in order to communicate via Internet.

Folders and files are not displayed

If you are using the 2-byte characters such as Japanese or a symbols such as “&”and “#” in your folder or file names, they may not be displayed correctly on the Web Access Screen.
Please delete these symbols from folder or file names, and change 2-byte characters to 1 byte alphanumeric characters.

Cannot open a file

When accessing a file using Web Access Service, the file’s function such as Macros may not work properly or you may not even open a file.
In such a case, download the file to your computer first, and then open the file.
